Vanier Graduate Scholarship Program Offers Fully Funded Scholarships at Over 50 Canadian Universities for Students
The prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships program offers a remarkable opportunity to study your doctoral degree in leading Canadian institutions. This program offers scholarships at more than 50 universities across Canada.
The initiative focuses on fostering research excellence and advancing knowledge in various fields including health research, natural sciences and engineering, as well as social sciences and humanities.
Through the Vanier CGS program, Canadian universities aim to support and nurture the brightest international and Canadian students as they contribute to groundbreaking research and innovation in these critical areas.
Nomination process
Candidates must be accepted by a Canadian Institute with a quota to host Vanier scholars. Therefore, the interested individuals must contact professors beforehand and get an acceptance letter from them.
After receiving a nomination, the candidates will apply to the respective institute.
Scholarship Value
This esteemed scholarship is valued at $50,000 per year for three years during doctoral studies. However, remember that only the PhD portion of the join graduate research programs is eligible for funding.
Candidate eligibility
Following eligibility criteria must be met.

• Applying candidates must be Canadian citizens or international students.
  
• Must be nominated by only one Canadian university having Vanier CGS quota.
  
• Must be pursuing first doctoral degree.
  
• The candidates must be intended to start their doctoral or joint graduate research programs (MD/PhD, DVM/PhD, MBA/PhD) in the summer semester or the year following the results announcement.
  
• Students must have achieved a first-class in each of the last two years of full-time study or equivalent.
  
• Must not have a PhD scholarship or fellowship from NSERC, CIHR, or SSHRC.

Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls enables Pakistani women to pursue graduate studies in leading HEC-recognized Pakistani institutes. This initiative seeks to enhance women’s access to higher education in STEM, empowering them to realize their fullest potential.
The scholarships cater to both undergraduate and Masters levels of education. The British Council will oversee the administration of the scheme within Pakistan, facilitating interactions between chosen scholars, universities, and designated university focal persons.
The Award
The funding is granted by Scottish government to women of Pakistan studying at an HEC-recognized university.  The award-holders are provided with the following perks.

• Tuition fee waiver.
  
• Accommodation costs.
  
• Traveling expense to and from home to university twice a year for students staying in on-campus hostels.
  

• The scholarship is only for female aspirants.
  
• Must be Pakistani nationals residing in Pakistan.
  
• Must be pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree in areas of Education, Sustainable Energy, Food Security and Agriculture, Health Sciences, and STEM.
  
• Must be holding a confirmed admission offer from an HEC-institute in Pakistan.
  
• Young girls with disabilities, minorities, and rural areas are exclusively encouraged to apply.
  

• The applicants must apply through online portal on British Council’s website.
  
• Create your account on the British Council website and select this scholarship.
  
• Fill in the online application form.
  
• Upload the documents and submit.
